CLI command

spis capture-widths

Create a three-viewport Weles composition capture plan for one or every record in a catalog.

Invocation#

bash
spis capture-widths <catalog> [--record <NN|slug>] [--host <target>] [--dry-run]

Create a three-viewport Weles composition capture plan for one or every record in a catalog.

Inputs and options#

  • <catalog> is required and may omit -examples; --record <NN|slug> selects one record.
  • --host <target> names the capture host; without it Spis asks the Stado registry for the active host of the weles-admission service and refuses, naming --host, when the registry names none.
  • --dry-run prevents host submission, but the plan file is still written.

Output and state effects#

Writes a wisent.weles-capture-plan.v1 under $HOME/.spis/work/landing-width-plans/ with 390×844, 768×1024, and 1440×1000 captures. --dry-run prints the plan summary without contacting a host; otherwise it enqueues the batch with stado workload run weles-capture --target <host> --plan <file> --json through the same enqueue audit-reference-accessibility uses, which checks every action Stado returns against the plan (count, batch, site slug and artifact prefix). A refusal is Stado's own, with its cause; nothing is submitted a second way and no file is written on the host.

Refusals#

These messages are emitted by the current Rust implementation:

  • Missing catalog prints usage: spis capture-widths <catalog> [--record <NN|slug>] [--host <target>] [--dry-run].
  • CATALOG-examples does not exist, record "SELECTOR" not found, or nothing to capture; add records first (the catalog's lists are present and empty).
  • A damaged catalog is refused naming the file and what it holds, never read as empty: CATALOG-examples/sources.json: examples is missing, sources.json: examples holds "…" where a list is expected, references.json: references[N] holds … where a record object is expected, references.json: references has no entry at N for examples[N] of sources.json, and after an enqueue, parse …/record.json: invalid type: …, expected a map or …/record.json: capture_batches holds … where a list of strings is expected; the record is left as it is — the record on disk is not rewritten.
  • Unknown/extra input is unknown argument: VALUE.
  • Without dry-run, missing Stado is refused as stado is not on PATH; hosts are reached through stado, never ssh.
